As data center power densities exceed 100kW per rack, liquid cooling powered by CDU (Coolant Distribution Unit) systems has become essential. The piping that connects CDU primary and secondary loops is the lifeline of the entire cooling architecture — and material selection determines whether it lasts for years or fails prematurely.
Huilin Pipe Fittings provides a complete range of 316L stainless steel pipes, fittings, flanges, and valves engineered specifically for CDU piping systems.
Why 316L?
316L contains 2–3% molybdenum and ultra-low carbon (≤0.03%), delivering approximately 10x better chloride pitting resistance than 304 stainless steel. Its annual corrosion rate in deionized water environments is below 0.01mm — critical for secondary side piping where coolant directly contacts sensitive server components.
Full-Chain Supply
Every component — pipes, elbows, tees, flanges, valves — is manufactured from the same 316L material, eliminating galvanic corrosion risks from dissimilar metal contact. Prefabricated modules arrive factory-assembled, pressure-tested at 1.5× working pressure, and ready for installation.
Process Control
TIG full-penetration welding with 100% penetrant testing
Inner wall electropolished to Ra ≤ 0.4μm (secondary side particle size ≤ 50μm)
Full material traceability with third-party test reports
Post-weld acid pickling and passivation
Proven Reliability
Delivered projects demonstrate zero leaks, zero corrosion, and successful 72-hour continuous full-load operation.
