Sockolet Socket Weld Branch Outlet

Sockolet Socket Weld Branch Outlet

Our Sockolet is hot forged branch connection fitting with socket weld end, designed for high-pressure pipeline branch tapping without cutting main pipe. Strictly manufactured to MSS SP-97 & ASME B16.11 standards, all sizes keep full nominal dimension without minus tolerance, widely used for power, chemical, oil & gas instrument piping.

Overview

Sockolet (Socket Weld ) is a forged reinforcing branch outlet fitting, also known as socket weld branch saddle. Instead of traditional tee cutting, it is welded directly onto the main pipe to create reinforced branch connection, offering higher pressure resistance and structural strength than standard tees.

Integrally hot forged from carbon steel A105 or stainless steel A182 F304/F316L, uniform thick wall for heavy load service. We control all dimensions strictly, guarantee zero minus tolerance on wall thickness and outer diameter, no thin-wall cutting corners. Three standard pressure classes (3000LB / 6000LB / 9000LB) meet various high-pressure industrial working conditions.

Core Key Features

  1. One-piece hot forging forming, reinforced saddle structure, superior load & pressure bearing capacity
  2. Socket weld branch end, easy welding construction, reliable sealing under high pressure
  3. Dual standard compliance: MSS SP-97 (Outlet fittings) & ASME B16.11 (socket weld forged fittings)
  4. Available materials: Carbon Steel A105; Stainless Steel A182 F304 / F316L for corrosive media
  5. Wide size range: Main pipe OD 1/2″ ~ 48″, branch size DN6 ~ DN100 (1/8″ ~ 4″)
  6. Zero minus tolerance for all dimensions, full standard nominal size
  7. Smooth inner flow channel, low fluid resistance, no medium stagnation dead zone
  8. Full MPI magnetic particle inspection + hydrostatic pressure test before shipment, complete MTC material certificates provided

FAQ

Q1: What is Sockolet used for?

A: Sockolet is a reinforced branch fitting, welded on the outside of main pipe to create a socket weld branch tap without weakening the main pipeline, ideal for high-pressure instrument sampling and control branches.

Q2: What is the difference between Sockolet and Weldolet?

A: Sockolet features socket weld branch end for small-bore piping; Weldolet adopts butt weld branch end for larger diameter branch connections.

Q3: Do your sockolet have minus tolerance on wall thickness?

A: All our forged olet fittings are strictly produced to full nominal standard dimensions. We guarantee zero minus tolerance on outer diameter and wall thickness, never use thinner raw materials to cut costs.

Q4: What pressure grades can this sockolet support?

A: We supply three standard pressure classes: Class3000, Class6000, Class9000, fully compliant with MSS SP-97 & ASME B16.11 high-pressure standards.

Q5: Can you provide stainless steel sockolet for corrosive environment?

A: Yes, we produce A182 F304 and A182 F316L stainless steel sockolet for acid, alkali and marine corrosive medium working conditions.
